The quote, “you can do anything you put your mind to”, refers to your mindset.
Those around you influence you, and they may shape your mindset. Your mindset is defined as “underlying assumptions that shape a person’s ability to perceive and understand the world.”
This means that we see the world by our perceptions of it, good or bad. This is the same for your employees. You may find rifts and authority challengers if you neglect to understand vital onboarding programs, employee education, and business value coherence.
It is not easy to change one’s mindset because it is formed when young. It can take time to change it. Focus on your mindset daily, see where you are struggling and go back to your list. Encourage your employees to help one another when they work to become the best team your organisation can be.
Implement continuation programs that you prepare as an industry and business to mentor and lead. The more alignment between the leader’s values, actions and behaviours, the more staff will align.
